Education Kinesiology

Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K) was developed in the 1970’s by Dr Paul Dennison a remedial educational therapist who was looking for different ways to help children and adults with learning disabilities.  Edu-k is an educational movement-based learning programme which can be used to improve a wide range of learning, attention and behaviour skills.

A consultant will use muscle testing to find out which exercises are most applicable to each individual. These exercises then help the individual take forward a new learning process that can help them overcome specific learning challenges.

Edu-k can help in a variety of ways;

Learning made easier (reading, writing, mathematics, spelling)
Focus (concentration and ability to sit still)
Organisation
Enhance sporting potential (co-ordination and balance)
Develop levels of excellence
Confidence

Originally Edu-k was developed to help people with learning challenges e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD, ADHD but it has been found to be beneficial for anybody.
